The Astrid Lindgren stage

Astrid Lindgren Stage

Dear children, parents and visitors,

"If I've made just one child's heart happy, then I'm satisfied."

The Astrid Lindgren stage team is indebted to its namesake's credo: as an homage to the world-famous Astrid Lindgren (1907-2002), Swedish author of children's and youngsters' books, our performances whisk the young audience away into a fantasy world full of adventure, poetry and music. Just like the singers and actors we have on stage, we want to encourage the children to be themselves and follow their fantasies and curiosity freely. The Astrid Lindgren stage has 559 seats and hosts a range of musical, dance and puppet shows but predominantly puts on its own repertory interpretations of Lindgren classics such as Pippi Longstocking and Mio, My Son, or Otfried Preußler's Little Aquarius.

So come along to one of our theatre productions on the Astrid Lindgren stage and be held spellbound! We look forward to your visit and to meeting you!
