Teaching theatre: introductory workshops
Our performances are supplemented by introductory workshops, where we teach visitors about theatre.
Here, we awaken children's curiosity about our shows and adopt a playful approach to key aspects of how a performance is put on, primarily via warm-up exercises and short improvised scenes.
In this way, children will receive an introduction to the material and the theory behind it. They will learn about the characters and the plot of a piece interactively via their own scenic games. This also grants the children a glimpse behind the scenes of theatrical art. At the same time, it offers the young participants some hands-on preparation for re-discovering the characters' motives and the key subject matter when they watch the actual performance.
